Je to vyrobeno tak, že se vygeneruje QRkód s větší redundancí a ten obrázek uprostřed je vlastně porucha. Je to stejné, jako kdyby kus toho kódu chyběl. QRkód je navržen tak, aby při jeho částečném poškození nebyla ztracena celá informace. Chybějící informace je dopočítána počítačem po jeho přečtení.
Jediné, co se nesmí poškodit, jsou vodící čtverečky v rozích. Ty se ale dají dokreslit, protože jsou na všech kódech stejné.
Zkuste si to. Zakryjte několik malých čtverečků a zjistěte, co ten kód ještě vydrží.
